1. Scope and purpose

These general terms and conditions (GTC) govern the use of the SolCheck brokerage platform by homeowners (hereinafter “users”) and by photovoltaic specialist firms (hereinafter “partners”). By accessing the website, a usage contract is concluded – irrespective of any registration – to which these GTC apply. SolCheck is a Swiss company.

2. SolCheck's service

SolCheck enables clients interested in a solar system to receive, with a single request, several quotes from vetted specialist firms. SolCheck reviews all requests and forwards them to suitable partners. SolCheck is not itself an installer and provides no construction services.

The quote request is a non-binding request to submit quotes and not a contractual declaration. SolCheck handles solely the brokerage of contact between the interested party and the provider and is not a party to the construction contract. The brokerage is free of charge and non-binding for users.

3. Requests and quotes

After review, a request is forwarded to suitable partners – geographically and technically appropriate – in the user's region. A request is brokered on a “first come, first served” basis to a maximum of five partner firms. There is no entitlement to a specific number of quotes. The user reviews the offers and decides independently and freely whether and to whom to award a contract.

4. Conditions for partners

Newly registered partners receive their first lead free of charge. After that, a fee of CHF 25.00 is charged per accepted request. Invoicing takes place monthly via a detailed statement; the payment term is 30 days. Brokered contact details must be treated confidentially and may be used exclusively for the purpose of preparing quotes. The details of the cooperation are governed by the partner agreement.

5. Copyright

All information and content published on SolCheck, the software and the design are protected by copyright and subject to the copyright of SolCheck. Copying, publishing or otherwise reproducing the data made available is prohibited without consent. In the event of violations, SolCheck reserves the right to take legal action.

6. Data protection

The handling of personal data is governed by our privacy policy and the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP).

7. Liability

SolCheck is not liable for the fulfilment of the contracts concluded between user and partner. The respective partner is solely responsible for the quality and execution of the work. Otherwise, SolCheck is liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

8. Final provisions

SolCheck reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time; amendments are published on the website. Should a provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. Swiss law applies; the place of jurisdiction is the registered office of SolCheck, to the extent legally permissible.
